Hi everyone, my name is Dom-okoebu Osareme David. I create content around men’s fashion, and many of my Instagram posts and highlights focus on my thrifted purchases in Winnipeg, MB.
I thrift because its affordable and one of the most sustainable ways to shop for anything you’re looking for. Thrifting allows me to have interesting pieces of clothing that are often unique and stand out, all whilst being at a very decent price.
Thrifting is also another way I feed my nostalgia as I’m very interested in pieces of the past, like VHS movies, vinyl records and old comic books just to name a few. I will be creating content geared more towards fashion from my local Thrift Store, but you can also expect some entertainment content as I collect vinyl’s and VHS tapes as well as action figures.
My style is anything I find at the Thrift Store mixed with modern clothing. My style is more modern vintage as I am inspired by lots of vintage styles but like to mix in some newer pieces for more of a modern twist. I like mixing in the old with the new.
It is hard to narrow down a favourite item that I’ve purchased at The Salvation Army Thrift Store as I’ve been lucky to find so many great pieces. However, to date, I’d have to say that my favourite item is a scorpion sterling silver ring that I thrifted for only $25!
