The Salvation Army Thrift Store opens new and second largest location in Montreal’s Pointe-aux-Trembles community on May 30th.
Situated at 1480 Saint Jean Baptiste Boulevard, Pointe-aux-Trembles is the sixth Salvation Army Thrift Store in Montreal. The location officially opens its doors in May with special giveaways, refreshments, entertainment and affordable prices in pre-loved clothing for the whole family. Also available will be pre-loved housewares, electronics, furniture and much more.
More than offering an amazing shopping experience, the Thrift Store will play a vital role in supporting the Pointe-aux-Trembles community. “We have been getting more requests from individuals in this and surrounding communities that need our services, and we were happy to answer the call,” says Mark Pantrey, Salvation Army Thrift Store Retail District Manager in Quebec.
Through shopping and donating thrift funds raised support local Salvation Army programs and services throughout Montreal such as emergency relief efforts; shelters for men, women and the homeless; food programs; life skill training among others.
Donations are currently being accepted at the store of: Accessories, Antiques and Collectibles, All Clothing, Computers, Electronics, Furniture, Housewares, Media & Books, Seasonal, All Textiles and Toys.
