The Salvation Army Thrift Store celebrates its 33rd year in Brentwood Bay with a bigger location to better serve the community.
Located at 7181 West Saanich Road, the Thrift Store has moved next door from its former location, receiving positive feedback from the community. “Our new location, which is slightly bigger, gives us a whole new look and feel for our guests in and around Brentwood Bay,” says Salvation Army Thrift Store Retail District Manager, Rick Elliott. “We’re hoping this change will help us make an even larger impact in the community.”
The Thrift Store and its team are passionate about helping their neighbours in need. They support the community with affordable items and by supporting local Salvation Army services, such as sending underprivileged children to summer camps, empowering them with life skills and more.
The store expansion will see more items available each day, but will also depend on the support of the community to give generously of their gently used items. “Donations are the lifeblood of what we do,” says Elliott. “We wouldn’t be able to assist neighbours in and around Brentwood Bay without the support of our generous donors.”
“We encourage community members to come by and drop off your clothing and household donations. We’ll have someone on hand Mondays to Saturdays to welcome you with a $10 OFF coupon.”
The Thrift Store will be celebrating their expansion this Friday with giveaways, refreshments and 40% off select items. The store is open from Monday to Thursdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays 9a.m. to 7p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m
